Lisa's love of baking started as a child she always baked the Sunday cakes for tea, at school she came top in arts and crafts, she would love to contact her Home Economics teacher and show her that the Victoria Sponge is still a winner!
In 1992 Lisa got married and saw a huge gap in the cake decorating and wedding market so she opened a cake decorating shop with wedding services, she had this for ten years and found that her passion was for baking and designing cakes more than the retail side, so she sold the shop and her husband converted the home office to the "cake room" so that she could offer a bespoke wedding cake service and Wedding Cakes by Lisa Broughton began.
