What is a wedding show?

A wedding show is a collection of suppliers, ranging from photographers, bakers, florists and many more; exhibiting at one of the UK's best wedding venues. Wedding shows typically are on all day and gives you a chance to speak freely with suppliers about their services and prices. You can also see examples of their work and try out products ahead of booking. We host these in wedding venues across the UK - which gives you plenty of opportunity to explore locations before booking anything.

Are they useful?

Wedding shows are highly recommended to anyone planning a wedding! They take the stress out of finding a reliable supplier and gives you an invaluable opportunity to see the products you are booking.

What do I need to bring?

If you're not one to make notes on your phone, then we recommend a notepad and pen. There will be a lot of information to take in at once, so come with a level head and an open mind. Many of the venues offer seating, but there can be a lot of standing - so wear a comfortable pair of shoes. You may also have the chance to go on tours around the venue, so practical shoes and outfit will be vital.

Do they cost?

No, all of our wedding shows are FREE to attend!

Who should I bring with me?

We suggest the engaged couple bring with them people who can help with the planning process. At wedding shows, it can sometimes be a good idea to divide and conquer; while one person checks out the photographer, the other can be gushing over the cake display. There is no limit on how many people you can bring with you, just anyone you think will be of benefit on the day.

For those of you ready to embark on the wedding planning process, you may be seeing wedding events popping up on social media or online. But what is a wedding event?

Wedding shows are hosted at select venues across the UK and brings couples in touch with local professionals, who are on hand to help plan your special day. From photographers to cake makers, musicians to florists, you're sure to tick a lot off your 'to-do list' by attending one of our County Wedding Events. Think of it like a real-life wedding directory!

If you've never been to an Show like this before, we've put together some top tips to help you get the most from it:

Narrow down your search

Before the show, have a chat with your partner to decide a few key factors about your wedding - this will help when talking to suppliers.

Set up a wedding email address

This way you can keep everything in one place, and it makes it much easier to refer back to suppliers' emails.

The entourage

Decide who you'll take with you - will it be your partner, or would you prefer to have a day with friends or your mum?

Do your homework

Make a checklist of the type of wedding suppliers you're looking for on the day.

Get social

Follow the event organiser and some of the exhibitors on social media. This way you'll be first to know of any show offers.

Book it!

If you love something, book it! There's no time like the present, and nothing beats the thrill of ticking off a big job.

Get organised

Take a diary with you so you can make appointments, and make sure you keep any literature you receive in a folder.

All our wedding events are FREE, so you won't need to factor that into any sort of wedding budget. All couples who attend one of our events will receive a goody bag, packed full of useful info. You'll also be given a chance to enter one of our competitions to win luxury stays or experiences. Pre-registration is recommended at our events, not only so you can plan your day, but so we can stager the number of couples in the show.
